Last Beach Day of Summer

We headed to the beach one last time before school started. Big B was able to go with us. We also went with some friends.
There were some good tide pools.
I love when I capture pictures like this! They really do love each other and have tons of fun together.

Pool Day!

We have lots of pool days in the summer but not with dad. When dad comes there is trouble!
The kids love getting thrown around by dad.
Happy worn out kids...the way I love them.

Baby E!!

Baby E is on the way!! I'm very nervous but having another baby has been on my mind almost since the day D was born. I tried to rid myself of the feeling because I thought 4, 2 girls and 2 boys, was perfect but I must be wrong...5 is perfect.
We didn't find out the sex of C and D but this time I felt like I needed to know so I could prepare. I got rid of everything baby and also needed to figure out bedrooms. Anyways, to tell everyone Big B and I went and found out then told my friend who makes cakes. She made a cake and then we cut into it to have the kids see what we were having. As you can see it's a BOY!!

San Juan Mission

We try and go to the Mission every so often in the summer for their kid crafts. C got to make rope.
Then on a different day we went back and the kids got to make a clay pot.
Messy but fun!

Beach Days

I was sitting back in my beach chair when I looked up and saw this, C and D holding hands playing in the water together. Too cute!
My mom took us all paddle boarding. C even got the hang of it.
A and B have done it before but we still stayed safety in the harbor.
D just hangs out on A's board but she loves it!

A Goes to D.C.!

A is one lucky (spoiled) girl! At the end of summer her grandparents took her and her cousin to Washington D.C. My mom has an uncle who lives there and she lived there before she got married and has great memories of D.C. They did more then just D.C and I have tried to get A to do this post so she can explain the pictures but she won't do it. (Only one reason why I'm so behind) So I'll give very little explanation since I haven't been there in sooo long.
 Gettysburg
This was a big panoramic picture of the Battle of Gettysburg.

 Mt. Vernon, Washingtons house
Arnold Friberg, a mormon artist, picture of Washington and his horse.
In Williamsburg they listened to the Declaration of Independence read out loud. A said it was very interested.
They went to Old James Town and learned about Pocahontas.
 In Williamsburg.
In front of the White House. Only picture with all 4 of them. They got to go in the White House for a tour.
In the Smithsonian seeing the Wright Brothers first airplane.
Waiting to go in the Capital.
 Back in the Smithsonian.
 Underground getting to the subway.
 On the subway.
Looking over the mall and Washington Monument. A had a great time and still talks about the trip. She can also still recall facts she learned on the trip, which impresses me. This year in school she is learning American History and she'll already know so much. Thanks Grandma/pa!!!

Clark Fun and New Truck

My parents decided to get some chickens. My kids really took to them! The more you hold them the more they are suppose to like people.
Even the little kids would hold them. Cute Boy!!!
My dad with his little princesses. He has 6 granddaughters in a row!
Big B had this truck for 10 years and it had over 175,000 miles on it so he had been on the look out for a new truck for quite a while.
He finally found this one in the Home Depot parking lot and in less then a week we had bought one truck and sold the other one. It is much nicer but with that also comes a car payment. Big B deserves it and loves it!
