End of the Year Performances

I messed up the order of the pics but this is one of the crew after one of A's performances at Irvine Spectrum. B is in the car in front.
A had a school performance, which I forgot about, so she was wearing jeans and a shirt. At least I made it and was able to watch her. This is her after showing off her sister to her class. I love that she loves her sister sooooo much!

A also had a two Singers Company performances. This her best bud that lives just a few houses down.

One of the performances was at the Irvine Spectrum. She had a little solo.
B had his school performance and I remembered his:) He's a pretty funny performer at times.
As he was walking in this is all I could get. The school has a really good music teacher. I think the kids learn a lot from him. I wish they would have it more then every other week. A and B did great and had a fun school year. They both learned a ton and grew up so much this year.

Make-Up?!

You know when the kids are playing better then normal there is something wrong. This time they were into my make-up.
C watches me get ready almost everyday and even puts his pretend contacts in. I guess he couldn't help but try it out for real.

Mystery Reader

A had another mystery reader come to her class. Last time it was grandpa and this time it was....
her cousin Ethan! I was so glad he was able to come and surprise her. He even got out of school early to come. I think A had the best mystery readers of the whole school year.

A's Baptism

Here is the dress! She did a great job and looked so beautiful in it.
A with her parents before the baptism started. Where we live they do stake baptisms and so A shared her day with 5 other children from the stake. She was the only one in our ward so the actual baptism and after was all her. Before the baptism there were some talks and I was able to give one of them. I was very glad that I got to do that. It made it feel more personal.
Her and her dad, who baptised and confirmed her.
Sad I know but the best family picture we could get.
This is all the family that came to support her that day. We were lucky to have tons of friends come too. After the baptism we had everyone over to our house for "finger foods". It was a very nice day and I hope that A will remember it forever. She made a great decision and we are so proud of her and the wonderful person she is becoming.

A made her own dress!

A has been very into sewing since around September when she started taking sewing classes from her Aunt. So somehow we were able to convince her aunt to help her make her own Baptism dress. It took a lot of work but she did it.
I am so proud of her, the things she has learned and talents she has developed.

This is her aunt, my brothers wife. She too is amazing and the perfect person to teach little girls how to sew. I am so glad A will have this life skill. She even wants to be a designer and a seamstress when she grows up. The pictures of the final product will be coming soon.

A's Birthday Party

Our kids only get friend birthday parties on even years. So this year A wanted a jet ski party. We invited tons of girls but lucky for me only 8 showed. My dad and big B drove the jet skis with two girls on each and they all got two turns. I think it's safe to say they LOVED it.
While they were waiting for their turns the girls did some exploring and found a piece of squid. They also decorated sand buckets, ate and watched the other girls come and go out of the harbor.
I know why I only do parties every other year...it's a lot of work and they also get to many presents. The play room tends to get crowded in May. It was a great party. A had a blast. Happy 8th Birthday!

My Baby is 1!!

I can't believe she is already one. Where does time go? I wasn't going to do anything for her but then I started feeling guilty so we did a little family party.
She had lots of help with her presents but then the other kids got distracted with one of the presents and she was able to open this one by herself. She figured it out and loved the paper...of course. Her very favorite present was the baby. She wanted to hold it all night and if we took it away she would cry. She even had to go to bed with it.

She started off very polite with her cake but by the end she was a mess.

Cute messy girl!!
In the tub getting all cleaned up. Notice the baby she wouldn't leave alone. A gave her another one that we already had but she wasn't as attached to that one. I'm glad we ended up celebrating her. It was a fun night. Why do they have to grow up?!
